English Language Challenges

I think the fact that we have to use the blog every week

was very helpful to practice writing in English and also is

important because that makes you think in this language,

sometimes very differently than Spanish.

This subject taught me a lot to write, think,

speak and hear and understand English, but I am don't

good enough. For that reason I want to try

harder and one day speak like

a native in a country like the USA

or the United Kingdom.

My biggest failing is hearing

and understanding, because sometimes the

pronunciation is difficult to understand to me and it is worse

because the pronunciation changes in the different countries.

To improve this I am starting to watch more series and movies

in English. Before this curse, of course I watched it, but now

I tried to not read the subtitles and understand them by myself. 

Outside the English class I don't use too much English, but that

is the worst thing you can do when you are learning a language.

I want to use my English more, especially because I know that

I know this language and I want to prove.

Changes of my Study Program

I am at my third year of my career. I think I can complaint to a lot of things for example: excess load of things you have to studies or a few teachers "not so good" (in this moment I have two in my mind I didn't learn anything in their subjects), but the worse is the non-existent handle of technology of edit program like Adobe or Davinci resolve and the little preparation in handle of different camera and sound aquipment (recorder, lavalir, microphone, etc), but also I must to remeber (and this is very important) today we confront a sanitary crisis so is it reasonable we not have the best preparartion ever. But until now ICEI don't have a protocol to have presencial class and that it is bad, because we don't go back and do ours "normals activities" (or what  we can consider normal today). This situation is very sad.

As far as the teaching methods I think do is the best way to learn, beacuse you go to makes mistakes and you go to learn with those. That mentality have ICEI too. But I return from the firts idea, we don't have filming so we can't  practice. Now is more complicated, because the professional practices start soon and a lot of us don't  have a real knowledge of how wokd in a filming. I hope this situacion end soon as possible.

Future

I don't like to think about future, because  makes me anxious (I always think about future and that it is tiring), but for this time I make an effort and do not die trying. In the near future I want to go and live in England, because is a nice place and they appreciate art more than here. I want to live in apartment in downtown with a cat (my only company) and be a  photographer or filmmaker. Dreaming costs nothing. I want to live there for the rest of my life. I know it is very difficult, but it is a my dream. One day I am going to live there.

My Future Job

When I was younger I didn't know what I want to do in the future, I was really lost. One day I realized I could study to be a filmmaker. 

When I entered university I was very happy, but until now I don't know in which area I want to develop, but if you ask me in this moment I could answer: producer or design production (the person who supervises all element of aesthetic of the story). But as soon as I started my studies I want to be a director of photography.

The only thing I know is that I want to work in the filming of a film and if my job allows me I am going to work abroad. If that happened I would be happy.

My Favorite TV show

My favorite TV program is Avatar the last airbender. In this series humans are able to control the elements of nature (water, air, fire and earth) at will they want. They live in harmony in differents nations, but one day the nation of fire attacks the entire world. Only the Avatar, the bender of all elements, is able to stop the war, but one day he disappears. A hundred years later Katara (my favorite character) and her brother Zoka find the new Avatar an airbender called Aang (my other favorite character). Aang is only twelve years old and he dosen´t control all elements. So he starts to practice by beating the Fire Lord. The group stars a voyage so that Aang practices the element, they visit the nation of water, earth and fire and find different masters ready to teach Aang, except from nation of fire. The group have various enemies through the series, but the most important one Zuko Fire Lord´s son.

My favorite episode is number ten of third season called: The Day of Black Sun, Part 1: The Invasion. This episode tells how the group tries to invade the nation of fire with their friends, but they can´t because the nations are waiting.

I watch this series once year, when I am sad, because I like it very much and it makes me happy, its character and their stories.

A person I would like to meet

 Hello! I never think about it, but if I could meet someone, it is definitely  the famous singer Billie Eilish. She is very young and reached the fame being only 13 years old! She has won different awards such as Grammies, American Music Awards and MTV video music awards. Being more accurate she has won 12 awards in total and that is extraordinary.

Billie had depression, but she worked on it and now she is better. That is admirable to me, overcoming any adversity  is very difficult, but almost never impossible.

Billie should have a lot of stories to tell and many anecdotes in set and concerts and I would like to listento to her.

My Life Soundtrack

Albums of Lana del Rey are definitely my life soundtrack! Her albums Born To Die, Paradise and Norman Fucking Rockwell! Left mark on my life. Now I think those are very "depressing", but I love them.

One of my favorite songs is Dark Paradise, from the albums Paradise, and the reason is because every time I listen to it, I give it a new meaning. I remember I used to listen on car trips looking at the landscape througt the window and being taken to another place different of my reality.

Born to Die was the first album I listened of her.

Norman Fucking Rockwell! is one of the newest albums that I listned at the time I entered university. Those are lovely memories! My first years at university is one my favorite years of my life.

The song of Lana accompanis me in a lot of moments and that make me very happy.
